President Serzh Sargsyan received the newly appointed Ambassador of Ireland to the Republic of Armenia

Today, President Serzh Sargsyan received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ireland to the Republic of Armenia John Rowan (residence in Sofia).
The President of Armenia congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and discussed with him the possibilities of developing the Armenian-Irish relations on different levels. Serzh Sargsyan stressed the importance of forming a legal field which would allow to invigorate cooperation in a number of areas.
Considering the fact that the Parliaments of the two countries have formed friendship groups, Serzh Sargsyan underscored the significance of strengthening interparliamentary relations and cooperation in the framework of international organizations.
Ambassador John Rowan viewed as mutually beneficial possible cooperation in the areas of science and research, culture, high technology and others.
“The Irish and Armenians can be found anywhere in the world, and it is one of our common features. During my work on different positions, I have met Armenians in Beirut, California and elsewhere. I deeply respect the Armenian people and your culture which is as rich as the Irish culture. I will do my best to promote the relations between our two countries to their utmost,” Ambassador Rawson said during his meeting with the President of Armenia.
